About Clase Azul Joven Día de Muertos 2020 Edition

Clase Azul Joven Día de Muertos. Clase Azul Spirits, founded by Arturo Lomeli in 1997, produces world-class tequila and mezcal. After some teething problems, the company sent the first bottles of its first reposado tequila to the market in 2000. Since then, the company has developed a range of luxurious spirits, which show a deep appreciation of Mexican traditions. Their unique bottles are handcrafted and individually painted by over 100 artisans from an indigenous community in the small town of Santa Maria Canchesdá, and each takes two weeks to complete. The company has strong ties with the community creating its products, and also comprises a non-profit with a mission to keep Mexican artistry alive and thriving by providing resources and support to local artists. The company also encourages the upcycling of its bottles, which offer endless possibilities for turning them into eye-catching everyday objects.

About Clase Azul Azul Joven Día de Muertos

Clase Azul tequilas are produced in one of the highest points in Los Altos, or the highlands – in the town of Jesus Maria in the region of Jalisco. Clase Azul tequila is made using 100% organic Tequilana Weber Blue agaves. Harvested agaves are cooked in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours. The cooked piñas are crushed to extract the juices, which are then mixed with a special proprietary yeast. After the fermentation process, the alcohol is distilled twice with careful attention to ensure the highest quality spirit.

With only 2,000 bottles produced, Clase Azul Joven Día de Muertos 2020 Edition is a strictly limited affair. It’s a special blend of their Plata, Reposado (aged 8 months in oak), and Ultra (aged 5 years in sherry casks) tequilas that celebrates the Day of the Dead with a complex sipping spirit. The striking bottle features a skull motif with Mexican marigold flowers that are an integral part of the Day of the Dead celebrations.

About Clase Azul

Firstly, Clase Azul is produced at the Productos Finos de Agave at Nom 1416, situated in the Jesus Maria region of Arandas in Los Altos Highlands region of Mexico. Clase Azul is a premium 100% authentic tequila crafted in a small town named Santa Maria Canchesdá. Over one hundred Mexican artisans go to work meticulously handcrafting each bottle.

Also, Clase Azul tequilas are made from 100% from organic Tequilana Weber Blue Agaves. Chosen from approximately 200 breeds of agave, this particular species is the only one that produces tequila. Once the agave is harvested, Clase Azul cooks them in old-fashioned brick ovens, a process which takes 72 hours. The cooked piñas are then crushed, after which a special brand of yeast is added. This liquid is allowed to ferment before the resultant spirit is meticulously twice-distilled with careful attention ensuring the highest quality spirit.

About Tequila

Although tequila has developed a bad reputation, there’s more to the spirit than just shots on a Saturday night.

This traditional Mexican drink origins in the state of Jalisco when according to a local legend, lightning struck an agave cactus before the Nahua tribe drank its warm nectar. Behold, tequila.

Legally, tequila has to be made of 51% of Blue agave around the Jalisco region in Mexico. There are different types of tequila according to age – from the youngest representatives, blanco, reposado, and añejo, to the oldest extra añejo.
